Chocolate Popovers
November 13, 2013
My November blog post for AgaRangemaster is chocolate popovers with salted caramel sauce. They are the sweeter side of Yorkshire puddings. How could anything that involves both Yorkshire puddings and chocolate be wrong?

Chocolate Popovers
Sorry the photographs are so terrible but they do taste good, honest. Just make sure you eat them fresh out of the oven – they are horrible if they go soggy.
Ingredients below, recipe can be found here.
2 medium eggs
300ml milk
185g plain flour
15g cocoa
40g melted butter
1tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Pinch of cinnamon
1 can of dulche de leche (or caramel ice cream sauce)
Vanilla ice cream
Sea salt flakes

Well those are a bit tempting to say the least!
These look delicious – when I was a kid I used to eat normal (leftover) Yorkies with ice cream and custard. This was quite weird for the times in rural New Zealand, but I like to think even as a 12-year-old I was a trendsetter 😀
You definitely were! I’m impressed that you were eating yorkshires in NZ!
