Banana Skin Cake (leap for leap year!)
February 29, 2012
When you see a banana peel on the floor, what should you do? Leap over it of course…and look it’s a leap year day today. So I made banana skin cake. Ok, yes it’s tenuous.
Recipe and method is courtesy of The More Than Occasional Baker* Why don’t you head on over there to see how it’s made?
- Banana Skin Cake (with caramel glaze and speculoos biscuit crumble)
- I think I shall re-name this Leap-Cake
There, short and sweet (actually now I think about it, it is quite a dumpy little cake…)<shutup now Gill>
*TMTOB in turn saw it at Not Quite Nigella (of scrabble cookie fame), so props to her too.

That is a seriously sexy cake. I often make Gennaro Conatldo’s Banana and Walnut cake, but this looks to be a cut above that.
Hey Roger, I’m glad you liked it. I was really surprised how good it is. I shall check out your Banana and Walnut cake..sounds like a winner.
